Jordan Gabriel Farrell

Jordan Gabriel Farrell is the Founding Editor of The Zebra Journal of Unified Physics (ZJUP), an independent, open-access journal created to support technically serious research on foundational problems in physics—particularly work that is interdisciplinary, mathematically explicit, and accountable to empirical tests.

Farrell’s formal graduate education is in business and organizational leadership. He earned both an M.S. in Business and an M.B.A. from Albertus Magnus College in New Haven, Connecticut, and completed doctoral coursework (ABD) through Capella University. His professional background includes extensive work in quantitative analysis, risk modeling, and decision-support in complex, regulated environments, providing a strong methodological foundation for evaluating evidence, uncertainty, and system-level behavior.

Alongside this quantitative career, Farrell leads an independent research program in theoretical physics focused on Time-Scalar Field Theory (TSFT)—a framework that treats time as a physical field and explores its implications for gravitation, quantum dynamics, thermodynamics, and cosmology. His publications emphasize explicit assumptions, dimensional consistency, and testable predictions, and several papers directly engage with experimental phenomena in atomic, optical, and relativistic regimes.

Farrell is also an active author and visual artist. His nonfiction work includes Zebra Poker: The Ultimate Unification of Physics, while his fiction includes Oblivion: Ad Magnificum Volumina, Oblivion: Ad Infinitum Tenebrae, and Of All Things Great and Small. He is also the writer and illustrator of the children’s book Justin & Jessica and the Nation of Elation: A Bedtime Adventure. In addition to writing and painting in oils, he maintains a strong interest in hands-on design and construction, including residential remodeling—practical disciplines that reinforce his interest in how theory meets physical reality.

In the applied sciences, Farrell serves as Principal of Solar Jewel, LLC, where he is developing novel approaches to omnidirectional solar power generation and holds patent-pending intellectual property in renewable energy systems. This work reflects his broader interest in translating theoretical insight into experimentally and technologically actionable designs.

A core principle guiding both Farrell’s research and editorial philosophy is the responsible use of automation and artificial intelligence as force multipliers for human inquiry. He maintains that in modern scientific and technical work, failing to adopt AI-assisted tools for modeling, analysis, literature synthesis, and experimental design is not a neutral choice, but a competitive disadvantage. ZJUP therefore encourages transparent and ethical use of computational and AI-based methods to accelerate discovery while preserving human judgment, interpretive responsibility, and methodological accountability.

ZJUP was founded to provide a venue where unconventional ideas can be presented with professional discipline: clear definitions, transparent derivations, careful uncertainty language, and an expectation of reproducibility where applicable. As Founding Editor, Farrell oversees manuscript intake, peer commentary workflows, publication standards, and archival release. His editorial philosophy is that scientific credibility is built not through institutional branding, but through methodological rigor, openness to critique, and coherence between theory and observable reality.
